"If an experiment works, something has gone wrong."
"The scientific theory I like best is that the rings of Saturn are composed entirely of lost airline luggage."
"Magnetism is one of the Six Fundamental Forces of the Universe, with the other five being Gravity, Duct Tape, Whining,
Remote Control, and The Force That Pulls Dogs Toward The Groins Of Strangers."
"Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to
make water, a vital ingredient in beer."
"Technically, Windows is an "operating system," which means that it supplies your computer with the basic commands
that it needs to suddenly, with no warning whatsoever, stop operating."
Research: I have been working on the NeuroChip project, which combines self-assembly, surface functionalization, and pattering
techniques to create biologically functional surfaces both for proteomics of the brain and for biosensor development.
So far, I have learned the basic protocols for binding dopamine and serotonin to appropriate surfaces. We have
recently been using a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) instrument to take new measurements and surface data.
