Research
Interests: My research interests include investigating the regulation
and function of the serotonin transporter in anxiety-related disorders.
Current projects include working alongside Amanda using
chronoamperometry to detect modest yet biologically relevant
differences in serotonin uptake rates in lymphoblasts isolated from
mice differentially expressing the serotonin transporter gene.
Additionally, I am using fluorescence and confocal microscopy to probe
SERT regulation by serotonin autoreceptors on the neuronal plasma
membrane.
