Research Interests: My research interests include investigating the regulation and function of the serotonin transporter in anxiety-related disorders. Current projects include working alongside Amanda using chronoamperometry to detect modest yet biologically relevant differences in serotonin uptake rates in lymphoblasts isolated from mice differentially expressing the serotonin transporter gene. Additionally, I am using fluorescence and confocal microscopy to probe SERT regulation by serotonin autoreceptors on the neuronal plasma membrane.
