Research: I’m working currently with Stefanie looking into the relationship between serotonin and BDNF. Specifically, we are evaluating changes in the expression of BDNF transcripts in mice of varying genotypes (SERT expression) and in mice treated pharmacologically with SRIs and tricyclic antidepressants.
Previously I have been an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Gary Perdew’s lab studying aryl hydrocarbon receptor-estrogen receptor cross-talk and carcinogenesis.
